The decades of collaboration with Frenger allow Wallflex to realize false ceilings, both radiant and not, which find application in a wide range of structures, from commercial to hotel buildings, hospital and industrial, …
Frenger ceilings are divided in two main types:
- Pre-painted aluminum stave ceilings, both perforated and not – width from 200 up to 600 mm
- Pre-painted aluminum panel ceilings, both perforated and not – dimensions 300 x 600 mm or 600 x 600 mm
Both types of ceiling can be provided with a radiant system for air conditioning, made by a steel or copper coil tube and by a spacer system applied to the panels or to the staves.
For summer air conditioning (cooling), is enough to put cold water in the coil tubes. For winter heating, hot water is put in the coil tubes and the panel radiates heat into the surrounding environment.
The main uses of aluminum panels for radiant ceiling are for commercial, hospital, hotel and school buildings and for sport centers.
Advantages
- Uniform radiant heating or cooling in every room
- Air laminar diffusion: treated air is put in the environment through 1.5 mm slit between one panel (or stave) and the other
- Greater well-being condition: uniform and low speed air distribution, without powders movement
- Silent
- Low thermal inertia: when hot water heats the panels, these start to spread out heat in the surrounding environment, and the putting up of the plant is then immediate. Traditional systems must first heat air in the environment to have benefits.
- Management low costs: radiant ceiling allows 20 – 30 % energy saving compared to conventional heating systems
- No maintenance
- Maximum use of space: absence of heated or conditioning elements
- Inspection ease: ceiling aluminum panels are easy to remove
- Compliance with fire regulations
