Rock wool panels produced by Wallflex are all B15 certified according to MED 96/98 EC regulation.
They are made by two stainless steel or aluminum sheets, between which rock wool is interposed. These panels find application in ceilings, partition walls, floating floor realization, as well as in cabin setting up, corridors, public spaces, pre-equipped ship cabins, navy boats, cruise boats, private boats, merchant vessels and platforms.
Rock wool is a material composed mostly by basaltic inorganic fibers, with the addition of phenol resins. It does not contain asbestos, ceramic fibers or elements that could favor microorganism presence and development.
Rock wool is chemically inert, therefore does not influence metallic corrosion.
This panel has excellent thermal and acoustic insulation features, thanks to the presence of rock wool along the entire panel thickness.
It has, besides, an excellent fire resistance, for the rock wool fiber’s melting point is 1000 °C; its components are inorganic, non combustible and with low thermal conductivity.
Every panel type can have different junctions, internal or external, and different profile types.

TECHNICAL DATA
DPS
DPS – Soft Core panel is made by two stainless steel sheets, between which rock wool is interposed. It is indicated for partition walls and wall coverings.
- Stainless steel sheets thickness: 0.7 mm
- Available nominal thicknesses: 25 – 50 mm
- Dimensions: width 600 mm, length up to 4000 mm
DPN
DPN – Noise reduction panel is specifically realized for acoustic absorption.
It is made by two stainless steel sheets, between which is interposed a rock wool layer.
- Stainless steel sheets thickness: 0.7 mm
- Available nominal thicknesses: 25 – 50 – 70 mm
- Dimensions: width 600 mm, length up to 4000 mm
DPH
DPH – Hard core panel is a high density rock wool panel, ideal for wall or ceiling coverings in public areas and for naval furniture.
This panel can be realized with or without metallic sheets, for it is possible to apply the chosen surface finish (laminates, PVC) directly on rock wool.
Metallic sheets material: stainless steel or aluminum alloy
- Rock wool thicknesses: 20 – 24 mm
- Stainless steel sheets thickness: 0.8 mm
- Available nominal thicknesses: 36 – 40 mm
- Dimensions: width 1200 mm, length up to 2500 mm
B15 class.
DPC
DPC – Ceiling panel is specific for false ceiling realizations and it is available in 5 different structures:
- Two stainless steel sheets between which rock wool is interposed
- One stainless steel sheet coupled with one rock wool layer. The back of the panel is open
- One stainless steel sheet without rock wool
- One perforated stainless steel sheet coupled with one rock wool layer, between which is posed an acoustic felt layer. Ideal for acoustic absorption
- One perforated stainless steel sheet, ideal for ventilation systems. The edge’s shape is specifically studied to guarantee a perfect alignment and a flat surface
- Stainless steel sheets thicknesses: 0.3 – 0.6 – 0.7 mm
- Available nominal thicknesses: 50 mm
- Dimensions: width 300 mm, length up to 3000 mm

DPP
DPP – profiles are stainless steel profiles used for rock wool panels’ fixing and junction.
Material: stainless steel, aluminum
Profile thicknesses: 0.7 – 1 mm
- Profiles for top and bottom edges
- Decorative profiles: used for angular and T junctions
- Profiles for wall junctions
- Profiles for ceiling junctions
Every profile can have different surface finishes, like RAL and NCS painting or PVC coating.
